HSAEL A Level results soar by over a grade in each subject

Year 13 students and staff at HSAEL are celebrating the results of the Academy transformation today, with the average grade secured by each student up by more than a grade in each subject. This is a phenomenal achievement, positioning the Academy as one of the most improved in the country for a second year running.

100% of Philosophy students secured A*-B grades

The pass rate improved to 97%, which is above the national average.

The percentage of A*-B grades was up by 5% on last year.

The percentage of A*-C grades was up by a huge 25% on last year.

Congratulations to the following students in particular, who are continuing their journeys to become leaders in their chosen field:

  • Inas Mohamed-Mujahirdeen, who secured AAB, and will be studying Actuarial Science at Queen Mary University.
  • Aisha Omowarere will be studying Biomedical Sciences at St George’s, University of London.
  • Delali Latzoo will be studying Accounting and Finance at University of West England, Bristol.
  • Sadeel Saleh will be studying Architecture at University of West London.

“We are so pleased of these results, which reflect the hard work of students and staff. Our outstanding results in Philosophy show that science is a broad discipline and students achieve highly at HSAEL across a range of subjects. Students will be leaving HSAEL to study a range of science-related disciplines, with a significant number of our female students choosing STEM-based higher education options. This bucks the national trend and highlights the superb work of the Federation Sixth Form team in supporting students to make ambitious future plans. Today’s results confirm the significant improvements that have been made at the Academy since joining the Harris Federation and point to a very bright future for HSAEL students, as we prepare them to be leaders in their chosen field.”
